Staging is NOT about creating a beautiful home; rather it is the process of converting a home into a marketable commodity, one that will appeal to the largest number of potential buyers and will sell in the shortest period of time.
Staging by Alexander transforms an existing personalized environment or an empty apartment into a distinctive visual backdrop against which potential owners can envision their future lives.
Current statistics indicate that a staged residence generally sells for an average of 17% more and at a 13% faster time period than an un-staged residence.
HOW WE WORK
- We meet the agent or owner at the property to determine existing conditions; noting elements or features that either enhance or detract from the residence.
- We identify if Pre-Staging Services are required and if the Agent or Owner wishes Staging by Alexander to provide these services. Pre-Staging Services can range from a simple de-cluttering to a full renovation of the residence. Staging by Alexander has a qualified and experienced staff that can handle each unique opportunity that a potential listing can evolve.
- We prepare a written proposal identifying the services that we provide, the Owner’s responsibilities and the projected costs. An Owner’s Authorization to Proceed is included along with the amount of deposit required.
- Projected costs are based on the staging fee, the estimated moving costs (both in and out), and the monthly rental costs of furnishings, art and accessories that may be required.
- A staging can range from a simple rearrangement of the Owner’s existing furnishings – perhaps supplemented with furnished art and floral arrangements – all the way to furnishing a totally empty apartment.
- Staging by Alexander maintains an eight-thousand square foot warehouse located in Yonkers, New York that houses our extensive inventory of furniture, art, floral requirements and accessories, all available for utilization on a staging project.
- Staging by Alexander can also provide limited storage space for the Owner’s furnishings that may need to be stored for the duration of the staging period.
ABOUT CARRIE
Carrie Alexander, owner and founder of Staging By Alexander, is an accredited interior design professional and a respected member of ASID, ASP, IAHSP, and RESA.
Her staging skills have been honed by more than 25 years of creating and executing interior design projects at world-class architectural and interior design firms. She is equally adept at interior design and project management whether it’s a large, complex project or an intimate one. Since 2008 Carrie has exclusively focused on staging residences.
Staging By Alexander staff come from various backgrounds and it is their diversity that enriches the services offered.
